Following previous boat trips, which have proved popular, we have arranged another one and will hope for fine weather on the day.



This year we’ll start from Windsor and will have a three-hour cruise aboard one of the vessels from the Windsor and Maidenhead Boat Company, which will be for our group’s exclusive use.

There will be a live running commentary packed with local facts about the Thames and the surrounding area and classical songs gently playing in the background to enjoy or sing along to.

We aim to arrive in Windsor by 11 a.m. which will give us plenty of time to board the boat ready for a 12-noon departure.

There is a cash bar on board where you can purchase refreshments both before and during the cruise.

Our typically British lunch comprises of two-courses:-

Mains:

• Chicken and Leek Pie served with creamy mashed potato, vegetables and gravy (CHICKEN)

• Vegetarian Option will be available so please mark your application form (VEGETARIAN)

Dessert:

• Apple and Berry Crumble with Custard

N.B. The Chef is happy to cater for any special dietary requirements, however, please notify us of these on your reply slip as the Chef is unable to make any changes to food requests on the day of the trip.


We will be using the usual coach pick-up points at the following times:

• 08:15 a.m. – Uckfield (Bus Station)

• 08:45 a.m. – Haywards Heath (The Priory Bus Stop – Franklynn Road, RH16 4DF)

• 09:00 a.m. – Burgess Hill (Civic Way)

• 09:25 a.m. – Handcross (Sports & Social Club).

We aim to leave Windsor just after 3 p.m. for our homeward journey.

We have 50 places available on this trip, which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

We have given a 26% subsidy to Members for this event, so the cost for Members is £45 with Guests at £61, which includes transport, boat trip with lunch and the coach driver’s tip.

A tip for the boat crew has not been included, and we will leave this to you to handle personally on the day should you wish.

Cheques will be banked on or around April payday.

N.B. Final numbers will be confirmed by 07/05/26 after which, we are unable to provide any refunds.
