There were 30 members who came along to the Congress Theatre in Eastbourne to enjoy the play and they were not disappointed!

The stage set was a perfect reconstruction of parts of the Torquay hotel we all knew as the home of Basil & Sybil.

The whole cast were on top form and there were laughs a plenty as Basil coped with hotel inspectors, a spoon salesman, the Germans visitors and course dear Sybil – his poison viper!

It brought back so many memories of the original TV programmes. A great afternoon’s entertainment. - Stephen Barnett
