Christmas Lunch - December, 2024
We were delighted to hold the last event of the year again at the East Sussex National Hotel. 183 members and guests enjoyed another delicious Christmas Lunch in the beautifully decorated National Suite, listening to Denis Primett and Peter Maybe playing melodies on saxophone and guitar.
Our Chairman and Committee wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you all again in December 2025. - Christine Goose.
"Many thanks to Christine and the committee for an excellent Xmas lunch superbly carried out. All on table 14 had an enjoyable time" - Peter Evans
"Another excellent and well organised lunch at East Sussex National. Not an easy task with over 200 guests but couldn't fault the day. Please pass on our thanks to all the committee and especially to Christine, Jack, Sue and Graham." - Bryan and Sue Barnes
"Just wanted to say a big thank you to all those involved in making the lunch yesterday such a lovely occasion. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I saw old colleagues who I haven't seen for many, many years. Please pass on my thanks to everyone concerned." - Norma Riley
"Congratulations Christine on your organisation skills yet again. It’s easy to take for granted the amount of time and effort that goes into such a successful lunch yet again.
You’re overdue to have a well earned rest - enjoy!" - Chris Wescott
"As one of the many pampered "Midsussex Spread eagles" who attended our Christmas luncheon, I wanted to thank you for organising such an enjoyable occasion today. The three course meal was as delicious and as beautifully served as ever. I was particularly pleased to be sitting on the same table as David Burford, a fellow Gateway Building Society colleague. You will definitely be a very tough act to follow!" - Timothy and Isabel Jackson
"Just a short note to thank you, and your colleagues, for all their hard work in making the lunch such a happy and successful occasion. It all went very well and it was good to be able to chat to many former colleagues. We assume that you are now heading for 'retirement' and do enjoy the rest. Thank you all again for a most enjoyable lunch." - Joan and Barry Turnwell
"Congratulations to you and your team for putting on yet another excellent lunch event on Tuesday. Whilst I feel sure that you must have had inevitable challenges behind the scenes, for the rest of us it all seemed to go ahead flawlessly, as usual. Brilliantly organised (even though you didn’t pull out my raffle ticket!). Thank you all for delivering such a good time for us." - Ron and Pat Roser
