Social Events

Details of all our events are published here - just click on the date and / or event title for more information. We vary the days of the week when we hold events, to give everyone as much opportunity to attend as possible.

To apply for an event, please click on this link, October, 2024 Newsletter, print off and complete the event reply slip and send, together with the payment by cheque, to the event organiser.

Places for all events are allocated on a first come, first served basis. As soon as the event organiser receives your reply slip and cheque, your name goes on the list for that event. Once the event is full, your name is placed on a reserve list and you will be notified if this is the case.

For those events that are scheduled for later in the year, we just provide the date and the title of the event. Put the dates in your diary, so that when the details are published in the newsletters, you can apply in the usual way. We will update this section with event details to coincide with the timing of newsletters.

If you are unable, for some reason, to attend any of our advertised events, we have added an extra page to our Social Events Section, called "Armchair Excursions" which lists a few suggestions for you to view from the comfort of your armchair!

SOCIAL TEAM UPDATE

I am pleased to report that our new Social Team are geared up for taking on the mantle after Sue Russell leaves at the end of this year and are actively working on our 2025 Social Programme.

2025 SOCIAL PROGRAMME

We are not yet in a position to fully publish our Social Programme. However, there are two important dates that you can note down now in your diaries:-
  • A.G.M. 2025 will be held on Thursday 17th April 2025
  • Christmas Lunch 2025 will be held on Tuesday 9th December 2025

We have also confirmed with our Tunbridge Wells venue that they are happy to host 6 Coffee Mornings in 2025, the first of which will be on Wednesday 15th January 2025. Please see the Coffee Mornings page in this section for the remaining dates.

Further information regarding each event will be published in the Newsletters as we progress through the year ahead. Once each Newsletter has been issued, please remember to apply early if you do not want to be disappointed as many of our events have a limited number of spaces available and places are allocated on a “first come first served” basis with priority given to Members..
