I joined Barclays in 1965 and worked for the bank for 26 years full time and 10 years part time.
I was in branch banking at Crowborough and East Grinstead in the Brighton district and then in 1983, I transferred to the Maidstone district and worked at Tunbridge Wells until 1999, when I retired early at the age of 50.

I was a Machine Room Supervisor and latterly worked on the foreign till and in the International Services Department.

I joined the Mid Sussex Spread Eagles Club around 2002 and became a Committee Member in 2011 on the social team, to help establish the Tunbridge Wells area.

I love animals and for many years I kept donkeys; my colleagues all knew me as “The Donkey Lady”, and would always tell me when and where they had seen one and that they had thought of me.

I have been married to Rod for over 40 years and we enjoy holidays abroad. I also enjoy gardening and visiting other gardens on our travels.
