Mid Sussex Spread Eagles - Retirement Club

Following a trouble free journey to Windsor, including a brief stop at Cobham services, we arrived in good time to where our boat, “The Georgian”, was docked.

Soon after we arrived we were able to board and, having got some liquid refreshments, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and ventured on to the top deck to watch the boat setting off on our trip along the river.

Gareth had prepared an excellent pie and mash lunch, followed by fruit crumble and custard and all the team worked hard to ensure we all enjoyed the 3 hour trip.

Richard, the skipper, gave us a very informative commentary, pointing out places of interest on route, and our journey was near to completion when the boat made an about turn with Windsor Castle in full view.

The weather gods smiled on us and everyone enjoyed a very relaxing time cruising down the river on a sunny afternoon. - Julia Shaw
